Cisco Certified Network Professional
It is a more demanding II. level of 3 courses CCNP- Route, CCNP-Switch and CCNP-Troubleshoot. The Sequence of completion of the courses is arbitrary, but it is more than reasonable to take your CCNP Troubleshoot as last. (When you need to solve the problems of routing and switching, it is wise to have these 2 courses mastered first) Each of these courses is designed to prepare students for industry certifications:
CCNP-Route prepares for 300-101 ROUTE
CCNP-Switch prepares for 300-115 SWITCH
CCNP-Troubleshoot prepares for 300-135 TSHOOT

| Content: | Routing protocols in detail and in depth – EIGRP, split Horison issue, stub EIGRP, OSPF single + multi area, Route optimization and Path control (redistribution, route maps), IP-SLA, IPv6, BGP – BGP Route Reflectors and Route Filters, IPSec VPN, GRE tunnel. |

CCNP-TSHOOT v7: Troubleshooting and Maintaining Cisco IP Networks |
| Content: | The last of the three CCNP courses. While ROUTE and SWITCH courses teach the new technologies with an emphasis on HOW to correctly configure networks with the required functionality, TSHOOT course resolves the challenges and problems as to WHY it is not functioning the way it should. In a commercial environment, it is often necessary to analyze the inappropriate behavior of the system according to the symptoms, isolate and resolve the problem. Number of tasks, ranging from simple and basic to complex problems with ROUTE and SWITCH are being solved during the semester. |

Note about Industry Certification:
If the student wants to apply for an industrial CCNP Routing & Switching certification, he/she must have a valid CCNA certification and it is necessary to pass all three certification exams ROUTE, SWITCH, TSHOOT within three years.
